Using Human Growth Hormone for Treatment of Crohn’s Disease

Significant attention has come the way of human growth hormone (HGH) in the immediate past couple of decades as a result of the great benefits that have been associated with it. The interesting thing is that some of its uses, such as anti-aging and muscle mass building, are not even approved. Treatment of Crohn’s disease is one of these benefits, but many people are not even aware of this.crohn's disease

What is Crohn’s Disease?

Crohn’s disease is a long-term, chronic inflammatory disorder of the intestines, particularly the colon and ileum. Along with ulcerative colitis, it is among the most common irritable bowel syndromes or diseases (IBSs or IBDs). The disorder causes the gastrointestinal tract to get inflamed and weakened. This can lead to frequent spells of bloating, stomach cramps, constipation or diarrhea. Rectal bleeding, arising from intestinal wall breakdown, is also among the possible symptoms. The cause of the disease is not known, but exaggerated immune system response has been suggested. Unfortunately, there is no known medical cure for Crohn’s disease, but there are treatment options that can be used to control it. Some studies have also highlighted the possible usefulness of HGH therapy to those battling the disorder.

HGH Treatment for Crohn’s Disease

One very popular study that is usually cited in support of the use of human growth hormone for the treatment of Crohn’s disease is that done by a group of researchers headed by Dr. Alfred Slonim at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, New York. The study, which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2000, focused on 37 adult patients with moderate-to-severe cases of the disorder. Of the total participants, 19 were given 5 mg of recombinant HGH injection a day for a week, along with maintenance dose of 1.5 mg a day a short while after. All patients were instructed to increase their protein uptake as well.

Measuring changes using a Crohn’s Disease Index, the researchers observed that about 74 percent of those in the growth hormone group experienced noticeable improvement, including elimination of abdominal pain and less bouts of diarrhea. Those on Prednisolone were reportedly able to either discontinue or reduce its dosage. By comparison, the remaining 18 placed on placebo did not report any improvement in their digestive habits despite being placed on a high-protein diet also. This made the researchers to conclude that HGH therapy may be beneficial to individuals with Crohn’s disease. Growth hormone seemed to produce effects somewhat similar to that Infliximab, the anti-inflammatory drug specifically approved for the treatment of the disorder. It also helps to improve the health of intestinal tissues, although no exams were carried out to prove this.

In addition, it was shown in studies by Dr. Doug Wilmore and associates at Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts that recombinant HGH injections combined with L-Glutamine can be helpful to people suffering from short bowel syndrome. Participants, who had difficulty digesting food and for whom recourse had to be made to intravenous feeding, were able to both eat solid food and effectively absorb nutrients after having HGH therapy. The results from the studies indicate growth hormone treatment can equally be beneficial to individuals with Crohn’s disease or colitis.

Should You Use HGH to Treat Crohn’s Disease?

The question may arise on the appropriateness of HGH therapy for dealing with Crohn’s disease. This may especially be the case when you consider there is not much information available on how growth hormone actually helps in managing the disorder. However, the hormone is known to enhance cell mediated response of immune system processes and antibodies to the presence of antigen. This is, in fact, a reason HGH has been said to be beneficial to patients suffering from autoimmune disorders such as arthritis and lupus as well as to those with HIV/AIDS.

Furthermore, HGH is known for its cell regeneration, reproduction and repair capability. It promotes the multiplication of intestinal tissues as well as organ restoration. This goes a long way in improving the clinical condition of a person with Crohn’s disease.

There are stories by people who got impressive results using growth hormone for the treatment of Crohn’s disease, corroborating what has been shown in the few studies available. HGH may be beneficial to people suffering from other forms of IBS such as ulcerative colitis as well. The potential of getting the desired results is greater when the treatment in combined with lifestyle changes and good nutrition.

I want to acknowledge the true power and healing that HGH is capable of. I was diagnosed with a severe case of Crohn’s Disease in 2014. I found out by rectal bleeding and an ER visit, as I was curled up into a pain in excruciating pain. They sent me into get scoped and the camera could only go through my large intestine, the small intestine was blocked severely by internal fistulas. The camera could not fit through because of swelling on all sides. Then it got worse, Pentasa/Prednisone combo did nothing. I started having the external Perianal fistula’s showing up, total of (5). The next step was (5) Seton placements and Humira/6-MP/Prednisone. I spent the next month in bed with a black n blue bruised ass, excruciating pain that even Roxicodone couldn’t touch. During this time I researched Crohn’s and alternative treatments. I read many studies posted online and many forums from people in Canada and other countries being treated from the doctors with HGH. I kept researching the next 6 months while Humira injections and daily life just plain sucked. It was hard to walk with (5) setons in my ass, constantly pulling them to keep the wound open, not to mention I gained 45 LBS. I realized that Humira and the medication the medical industry uses only keeps you needing the next dose. HGH cures so many things, it would take out 90% of the medications and side effect medications required, this is Trillions of dollars that would be lost. I made an appointment with my family doctor to discuss his thoughts of me getting on HGH therapy. He only had the response of “you will feel amazing and i’m all for it”. That’s where my journey started. Within (3) months of HGH therapy I had made huge improvements. I changed my diet, learned about alkaline foods and what keeps the stomach in the acidic nature to feed the Crohn’s. Within (6) months I was down 40 LBS, and no more 18 bathroom trips daily. I was very close to remission, which I then asked my doctor to remove setons. He has never removed setons from any patient in his entire career. Being very reluctant to do this, we settled on a gradual process. He cut (1) out at first and we waited a month. Still using low dose of HGH it healed quickly and no flaring. Next visit we removed (2) and waited a month. Just like before, healed great and no flaring. We removed (1) next visit and waited, then finally the last one a month later. To date I have never had a flare of any fistula or stomach pain, and i’m in full remission. In July – August of 2015 I believed in HGH enough to start pulling myself off of the medication of Humira injections and 6-MP pills (daily). At the end of October 2015 I had to go to New York for a business meeting, while I was gone my refrigerator at home stopped working and everything in the there was trash including all (4) Humira shots I had as back-ups while I was weaning off the dosage. Taking this as a sign to move on, I decided that was the day to go completely dependent on HGH. I upped the dose for the next 30 days to insure the full drop out of Humira didn’t effect me. After that I was able to bring myself down to 1.5 iu daily and have been taking that dose for a couple of years now. I am the only person in all of my doctor’s (GI & Family) to ever stop medication & the only person to get Setons removed. I was very determined to rid my body of this disease. It took diet change, metal determination and HGH therapy. I use to have knee and shoulder problems with weightlifting, they are gone now. Skin problems, major cystic acne on back – gone! HGH is truly a full body experience, it has helped mentally, physically and medically. The reason for sharing this is February 14,2015 I was cleared by my GI to go back to the gym on a semi restricted workout routine. I was 285 and over 40% body fat. I am sitting currently at 220 and 14% body fat. I wish everyone could be introduced into HGH therapy, it would truly help everyone!! I have spread the word to all my family and friends of the beneficial effects. To date I have also help 20+ people from these autoimmune diseases that were killing off their quality of life by introducing HGH therapy into their daily regiment. HGH is the real deal, and I am very thankful for all the research that your website and others post online to help people understand the true effects and capability of HGH. Much love and appreciation!

      Tara

I was researching this for my daughter, who has gastroparesis and colitis, both very similar to Chrons. She just started an FDA tested and registered HGH Homeopathic GEL that you rub into your skin. I am on it and several of my friends are as well. It is new to the national market (was sold in CA for 14 years) but everyone is having AMAZING results on it with no side effects and it is a lot safer than the injections. I have been in the health and wellness industry for over 20 years and I am very passionate about alternative medicine, as it has always helped me. This GEL is something like I’ve never seen before. True breakthrough in medicine. I hope I can help you!! Email me. 🙂 Dominique Gardner

  4. Emma Bustamante says:

I started taking HGH 6 months ago and my IBS stopped within 2-3 days. I had episodes of severe diarrhea on and off for 10 years. Recently I stopped taking the hormone and in two weeks it started again. NowI know that the HGH has kept me healthy for the last 6 months. I will not stop taking this ever.
